One load at a time

One load at a time

I love this pinterest quote. On one hand, the advice is to separate all your problems, all the drama and things you need to face. But on the other, all the colours and patterns have merged, as life does, when everything overlaps and becomes entwined. Lovely and colourful. Bright and cheery. Life can be overwhelming and we need to step back and separate everything. It is fab that we have busy, full lives but sometimes, we need to take a breather!

I love this quote from pinterest. I like the idea of coffeeology! Maybe I need more grounding! I can get ahead of myself, worry about things before they have happened! I can gulp, rather than sip, rushing through moments, rather than enjoying them fully. Can't we all? I do love trying different coffee flavours though. Like life, it is good to try new things, not just stick to one flavour!

I have written about taking each day at a time before and I do try! Sometimes I just need reminding!

At times, it is more 'take it a hour at a time'! Have those mindful minutes even. They are so good for you, wherever you are.

As the quote above says, take your time, when you can, and focus your attention on the warmth of more than just your coffee. The warmth of family and friends who help you navigate this life. Who offer a hug and a smile. Each person in your circle, is flavoured differently and together, they are appreciated. Embrace these amazing people and remember, that you are one of them too. Whether you are minty fresh, cool caramel or fluffy marshmallow flavoured! Appreciate those people who get your quirks and love you for them! Those who seek out your company and your vibe!

We are attracted to folk we vibe with and those who lift us up. We all have those people who cheer us up and make us feel better. There is mp judgement. Just love.

We are lucky to have family and friends who Those who take the whole basket of heavy life laundry off us and help us sift through it so we can walk around with a much lighter load. Cherish these special people. Friendship is being there and listening to each other, sorting out each others' problems and easing the load.

I run two book clubs that I am so proud of and when we meet, I take stock throughout the morning or night and take it all in. These lovely, like minded people who met through the love of books and now get along so well. As friends!

Life is about experiences. And not just the big things. These little conversations, smiles, laughs and genuine connections make life so much richer.

I added that bit after so I will go back now to my main thread again!

Although, looking at this, even a minute can be too long! Yoga and pilates and other exercising obviously are great for grounding and relaxing you!

I love the idea of taking life 'a page at at time' too. Not that I can only read one page, or even one chapter. Once I have my head in that book, it stays there until life takes over again! I could just sit there actually, right now!

Yes to this too! Let your good times and moments pile up, one after the other. Concentrate on this Good pile, rather than the messy, need to do pile! Like that ironing pile of shirts that just sits there, taunting you!

Reading this now, as I revisit this blog, makes me think of all my piles of books around the house. They are good piles! It is lovely looking at the covers, knowing I will read them one day! I have just seen this quote on pinterest and it gives us a good excuse to keep buying the books! I love the idea of your book titles and covers being like a type of menu to peruse, depending on your mood!

Yet again, I have digressed! Going back to my original idea, take life a bit at a time. I love the idea of taking it a sip, or a cup at a time!

My first quote about laundry got me thinking. We do live messy lives. We do live lives that become tangled. But we also live fulfilling lives and amongst the muck and muddier moments, we have moments of clarity. When we see our family and friends and see beyond all the stuff. Everyone is carrying something. It is when we stop and appreciate the people in our lives that we see we are all just trying. The good thing is when we try together. And making a mess? Look at the mess made while baking but the finished product is amazing!
