Pot House Hamlet and The Potting Shed

We are so lucky to have so many dog friendly places to visit. Pot House Hamlet at Silkstone is dog friendly and has a marvellous pet shop and groomers called Ruperts. We have seen the garden centre expand and then the Potting Shed open.
The garden centre is lovely and has gorgeous hanging baskets. It also has a fab little card shop, full of every occasion. It takes me back to my childhood when thank you and acceptance cards were kept in little baskets.
We love to visit the boutique Pookie. It has such lovely clothes, scarves, jewellery and bags. There is a little gift shop too with gorgeous jewellery and picture frames. We always visit Ruperts and on special occasions, get a doggy bun for the dog! The groomers do a marvellous job and everyone is so friendly. We love to visit the animals near here. The llamas are fab!
The Potting Shed is a special place and lovely to eat at any time of day. Breakfasts are always a great choice, especially Eggs Benedict. Their lunches are so tasty, especially the posh bangers and mash!  We can never make our minds up which cake to order! We always end up sharing! Their scones with jam and crean are delicious. They used to offer a cafetierre but no longer do so I always order a flat white.

We can sit downstairs near the lovely fire with our dogs or outside. The fire is lovely in Winter and the patio outside, looking out onto the stream filled with ducks and geese is fantastic. We love the bunting and the decor. Every window sill is filled with quirky decorations. Their ice cream is gorgeous too. Everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. A good afternoon out!

We love to sit outside in the sunshine amongst all the fabulous hanging baskets. It's lovely to stare out at the stream with the ducks and geese. I love staring up at the huge chimney stretching into the blue sky. Beautiful little hideaway.
