A sprinkling of kindness

 A sprinkling of kindness

Love this quote for World Kindness Day! Get sprinkling! You will definitely get some back!

When I first started my blogs, I shared a few quotes and this was one of my faves. It still is now.

This pinterest quote is so true. Makes you really think!

I suppose it is all about being treated as you would wish to be treated. This quote is so important.

I love this quote. Nobody really knows what is going on with anybody. Your kind words could make their day. Your throw away critical comment could really affect them.

Folk don't tend to share their deeper problems with people generally. It is easier to paint on that smile and carry on. It doesn't mean they aren't delicate and need support.

Many people struggling hide behind smiles and loudness. Even the most confident person in the room has their own insecurities.

I love being around people who are thoughtful and ask you how are you, remembering something from what was happening when they last saw you. Those who offer you a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear.

I have just met with two friends actually who do this. It does lift you up when you are listened to and get that extra squeeze in a hug!

The family and friends who check in on you are so special. The ones who send the quick text, turn up with a little bunch of flowers or post a card sending hugs when needed. They are invaluable to you.

When we receive positive advice and are supported, we do feel better. When we are constantly criticised and made to feel not good enough, we can lose our self esteem and feel worse.

I actually work with small children and give them the reminder of 'use your kind words'. Perhaps, we need this reminder sometimes as adults! It is so much better to compliment then criticise.

We not only make them feel better, but ourselves too.

I really love this thought. We need to do more of this!

I always think about people by remembering their kindness to me over the years. I never forget how they helped me and my family, going above and beyond. Too many to list here! How lovely to be remembered for how you helped someone? For the footprints of kindness you left?

To me, that says so much about someone. You often hear about the generous things and donations of famous people who did stuff in a none showy way.

I love Snoopy and totally agree with this quote!

It is the smaller things too, not just the big, selfless supports. I love the idea of the random acts of kindness throughout the week.

Small kindnesses can be big to other people. A smile can mean so much to someone who is new or is feeling unconfident. A smile says so much without having to speak a word. It is friendly and reassuring. It opens up a conversation and it lets that other person know they are welcomed.

Because no words are needed, anyone can understand a smile.

I love this! It is a good way of non verbally showing support to someone struggling or feeling overwhelmed. A smile says, 'You are not on your own.'

This is lovely too. I know we all have our worse days and don't always feel like smiling and being sociable. Being kind is a good way of bringing a boy of sunshine into dull November days and making them feel more September!

When we are up to it, it is good to be 'a warm light' for others.

I do love this next quote. It always makes me smile!

When we are supporting each other and being kind, life is easier. We need to remember, though to be kind to ourselves too. I haven't always been. I have been tough on myself. I am nicer to myself now!

I love this! I am definitely more confident about myself again.

You deserve the kindness and love you give to everyone else.

I love this from facebook. You never know how much one little act of kindness will affect that person who needs it and on one of the days, that person might be you.
