Happy habits

Happy habits

I love this quote from pinterest. I remember hearing someone say your daily ritual becomes your monthly and yearly until you feel you are happy with what you have achieved.

Happy habits can make a difference to your life. I call them this because the are designed to make you happy. Small habits each day can grow and grow into something that can really help you.

I attended a mindfullness session at my college last year and the lady mentionned this brilliant book to read.

Two things:

One, I want to sing the title, Blondie style!

Two, I haven't bought or read it yet. Which is one of my atomic habits- procrastination. I keep saying I am going to do things and keep forgetting or get sidetracked! You see, I have become a pro at procrastination!

This map of procrastination is spot on! I think I still send a lot of time on Daydream beach. Stops you getting involved in drama! I need to put Pinterest forest with the Social media forest too!

You see, procrastination is so easy to do! Whatever you are spending your time on! Anyone else relate to this! I do think some procrastination is still good. We do need to have times in the day when we let our minds roam freely, in amongst all the pressure and anxiety in this modern day living. But maybe just five minutes on pinterest, rather than half a hour!

I like this idea. Sometimes, the bigger picture of a task can overwhelm us. Breaking it down can make it seem less daunting.

In addition to procrastinating, I am amazing at overthinking and analysing too! Well, I am a Virgo! It can be hard to get out of this habit of going down a rabbit hole with your thoughts. I find doing something else can take my mind of this. Such as a dog walk or making a cup of tea and reading my book. I am better at trying to wonder what people meant when they said something. What's the point? Move on!

These tips for overthinking, on pinterest are really useful.

I used to 'What if' a lot too. The time I wasted on that! I love this pinterest quote with the positives, rather than the negatives.

I also remember someone telling me a good habit to do every morning is to make your bed. I suppose it is setting a standard each day and making it nice when you get home and go to bed at night. It had always stayed with me that. It does make me smile when I do it. I also try to make sure I have washed the pots before I go to bed as we have no dishwasher and it isn't good waking up to those mucky pots!

We all have bad habits; we are only human after all! There are so many different bad habits. Here are a few.

Some negative habits are easier to stop than others. This is a good quote. I think I do most of these but I am trying to do them less. Especially the over thinking!

This made me think. Our bad habits can get in the way of our progress and our happiness. Whereas, the good habits help us grow and be happy.

When thinking about changing habits, it can be really hard. This looks like a good book from pinterest.

Breaking bad habits is about making small changes.

It is lovely to dream. I am a dreamer. I love this quote. It might not happen overnight, but keep going with small steps.

Daily with small steps, keeping going, all the small steps add up over time.

Sometimes, we don't even realise we have these habits. We just keep doing them! Whether we are going to bed too late, spending too long on our phones, we are building bad habits.

This is so true. Rethink your habits. Maybe rethink your morning. I need to make a few changes as I am still not a morning person!

This quote is really good too and makes you think about how you go about your everyday life and what influences it.

This is a good quote. We repeat things over and over. How we talk to ourselves repeatedly too. Make sure you remember to talk nicely to yourself!

Be kind to yourself. Sometimes, these bad habits are through us feeling low and down, or anxious. They make us feel good for a time, or help us relax.

And remember, when you break a bad habit, be kind to yourself if you go back on it. Just try again! It may take a few times!

They say, try to work out of your comfort zone. Once in a while, try and see where it gets you. I feel I need to re step out of mine for a bit!

Think on with this next quote.

I love this idea! As a snooze button presser on a morning! I need to press the snooze button less and get out there a bit more. Less procrasting and more action! Watch this space!
